As a Peer Advisor with Lee Hecht Harrison’s International Center for Executive Options (ICEO), Mark Larsen works with CEOs and other C-Suite leaders in transition, serving as a thought partner, sounding board and trusted advisor. Mark has a strong background as an international business executive with more than 10 years of experience as President at the regional and global levels of leading pharmaceutical, biologic, and consumer packaged goods businesses. He has deep experience in both developed and emerging markets in Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East.
Mark has held leadership positions for some of the leading health care companies in the industry, including Wyeth, Bristol-Myers Squibb and SmithKline. From 2005 to 2009 he was the President of Asia-Pacific, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and President of Wyeth Nutrition globally, responsible for 5000 employees, and grew revenues 80% during that timeframe to $3.4 billion.
Prior to that Mark served as President, Wyeth Europe, Middle East and Africa from 2002-2005 where he doubled revenues, and as President, Wyeth Intercontinental (Latin American and Asia-Pacific) from 1998-2002.
Before joining Wyeth, Mark held senior country and regional management positions at SmithKline and Bristol-Myers Squibb in both consumer and pharmaceutical businesses.
Mark is a graduate of Princeton University. He has been a guest lecturer for the Columbia University EMBA and MBA programs and a guest speaker at The Economist Health Care Summits in Hong Kong, London, and Shanghai. Mark also serves on the Board of Directors for the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans Foundation.
